“My husband and I had an all day cookery course with Carolyn and enjoyed it immensely! My novice husband who never cooked anything before baked a bread and a pie, all from scratch with help from Carolyn! She is such a down to earth and knowledgeable lady. She takes great care of you to make sure you’re well looked after, fed and watered during the day :-) You can ask her anything no matter how silly the question is.
If you are after one of those off the conveyor belt type courses, this is not for you but if you want personal attention, a course tailored around what you would like to learn then it’s the perfect course for you. her attention to detail and planning was spot on…..she was genuinely interested in finding out more about us and our abilities and what we would like to learn, such a wonderful, bespoke service.
I can’t recommend Carolyn’s cookery school highly enough….
Two very happy bunnies who have just eaten half of that delicious pie we made earlier: Many thanks indeed Carolyn!”

“Just back from an excellent day at Winston House. We were a group of 10 and after serving us tea and coffee with home-made biscuits in the delightful kitchen, Carolyn demonstrated preparing a Thai meal which we all tasted afterwards. The flavours were sublime and all felt that they could reproduce this at home with no problem. A delicious lunch in the delightful garden followed. A real treat to be in this characterful old house learning new things. thank you so much Carolyn. Some of us are determined to enrol our husbands so that they can learn to cook!”

“Charlie just made a risotto for supper after being taught by you last week. He adapted it with chestnut mushrooms and smoked haddock instead of cheese. It was absolutely delicious. Thank you Carolyn”

“Just I don't enjoy cooking, never have. I decided to spend a day at Winston House and when Carolyn Denny suggested a few easy but useful recipies I thought, 'well never say never until you've tried it'. I am so glad I did because she was right; it wasn't just easy but fun. Whatever you're into - bread making, Thai food, vegetarian or fine cuisine - she has the answer and expands your mind to thinking of things slightly differently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.”

“Thank you for such a lovely day with so much inspiration! My son went home and revamped his kitchen as a result and I have bought him a sous vide for his birthday ... see what influence you have!! I am seriously going to suggest to my husband that he comes along to you at some point to learn a few dishes to cook!”

“Thank you so much for the day we spent with you, we had such a fabulous day and the food we prepared and cooked was delicious. My son said he thought the pie I made was the best pork pie he had ever had!”
